*A too successful?

Given the number of new airlines that continue to join *A (not to mention leaving One World), has anyone wondered at what point the alliance could end up too big for its own good?

Specifically, is there some point at which the antitrust immunities that were granted by the US might be removed because of lack of competition?

Disclaimer: I was a United Prem Exec for 6 years and just this year switched to BA primarily because of better service on transatlantic routes and direct SEA-LHR service but it looks to me like *A clearly has the better outlook in terms of adding new carriers.
