Well, if people to fly QF despite ongoing enhancements, my answer is NO, why should they ? They're spot on if people still continue to fly them despite such "enhancements".
QF is only meant to serve you champaign, meals or even lounge if YOU are continuing to fly on another oneworld flight.

in this case, he booked TG separately on another ticket, and it is TG's responsibility to look after their premium passengers to gain their loyalty. not QF's. QF did not have his loyalty to start off with.
