Great trip report and nice photos too!

I stayed at the Erawan Hyatt while in Bangkok too, and got the view of the Sports Club from my room, but I didn't have club access. The room seems of a similar size though.

And the shrines you mentioned is mentioned in the information board on the SkyWalk, apparently all the major shopping centres in the Erawan area has at least one shrine.

By the way, I also agree with your opinion that QF has consistently great service, in fact I thought they would even give CX a run for its money! Though I wonder if their service is as good in the economy cabin or just restricted to the premium cabins?
