I already have more then 100.000 miles earned in the past year and im wondering if it makes sense to save them or spend them on some award trip. Normally, it is your elite status that matters, then the type of ticket you have (a Plat with full fare ticket gets upgraded before one that has a cheaper ticket). At least, that is how someone from KLM explained me once. In practice it does not always work that way.
100,000 miles is also not very much for a FFer, but I base it on my own situation (I have been aorund the 450-500K over the past years)
