I am heartened to see that almost everyone has pointed out the deficiency of available, well-located electrical outlets. For me, this is not just a convenience issue, but a necessity - as I suffer from sleep apnea, for which I use a CPAP machine, and I NEED an available, electrical outlet reasonably close to the nightstand that doesn't get switched off when the lights are turned out. I find it astonishing just how many hotel rooms lack one - when all it takes to retrofit ANY room to have PLENTY of outlets is a <$5 power stick.

This trivially easy to correct shortcoming is so prevalent that I need to travel with an extension cord with a 3-outlet head as a matter of routine. But really, I'd much rather not have to run a cord 10 feet along the floor where I can trip over it at night while going to the can.
