On the other hand, $2 or $3 is not much to me in the grand scheme of things, particularly if that's all I'm paying out of my pocket for a buffet breakfast. I suspect the $2 or $3 is much more significant to the typical server. If there's any possibility service isn't included, and usually even if it is, I'll leave a little cash.
