Garden Grove (Disneyland) is very weird. They went from a index card size coupon, which said tip included, to a piece of paper that has no mentioned of tip either way. Lately, they have asked me to have the breakfast billed to the room. I left a tip on the receipt, which showed up as a line item on the bill and they removed the entire charge including the tip I had left. I wish Hyatt makes this more clear to us as well as the hotel. I definitely believe the hard working wait staff should get a tip but at the same time, i am not crazy about double-tipping, especially when I got for the buffet and their only task is bring me a cup of coffee.
exactly - I do believe the Diamond benefit terms say that our gratuity should be covered, but some of the properties are not clear about if there is a built-in one or not. I had a room-service breakfast 'package' in Orlando that clearly said the price included gratuity. For the $20 Dulles buffet, I would have like to know, since that price is steep for what was offered.
