Interlining and priority tags

Got an upcoming flight, ORD-LAX-HKG-KUL, with the ORD-LAX on AA and the LAX-HKG-KUL on CX (separate tickets). Past experiences and previous posts indicate that if you are flying F/J on CX and have interlined checked bags, CX will intercept the bags and attach the appropriate priority tags. However, this time, I will be flying in Y as a lowly SL. Will CX do the same for me? I only ask because at KUL, there is often a long wait between priority and non-priority bags (in addition to the long wait for the priority ones). Any relevant experiences would be appreciated.
