if you spent $39,090 and got 39,090 points then yes, you should get 13 nights
however you probably spent some amount in these double or 5X point catagories so you may have spent $30k but received 39k points and thus are only entitled to the 10 elite nights
No, These are broken down on the Chase bill. The 39,090 were base points. I did not include the other bonus points as I know these have never counted towards the 3,000 / elite night.
Funny thing is, Marriott Concierge marie (I emailed the address in the usernames profile here, not sure if several people run it) actually agreed only 10 were given and she was going to research why...but that was the last contact I had with her, even with me sending two follow up emails. i understand she is probably busy with other more important issues than just 3 elite nights but it leaves me wondering:
1) Is there something in the program terms I do not know about such as how it is calculated or maybe a max of only 10 can be received in a month?
2) How many elite nights have I possibly missed out on in the past if this is indeed an error somewhere in the line?
Honestly, I hate to even bother with it as I dont want to be like "one of THOSE people"
but I have made a decision to shift a lot of spending to my marriott card because I value the points and nights and if there is hidden "gotchas" then this makes them less appealing to me.
