A sad statement, pitiful as it may sound I was always a little emotionally attached to UA. It just isn't the airline for me anymore. I hope AA is.
We are in the same boat...

Moved TATL travel to BA & LX. After 11 years as a 1k will drop UA completely and just put all Star miles into BD. Have already achieved gold on BA and have gold on BD. For asian routes i'm quite happy with the new LX C and when malaysian joins OW, I might move further away from star, as I do love their F class.
