The shame is that this used to be a good property, but has crashed and burned in the past year or so. Granted, it's a very old, spread out building, but it used to be run well.
I've spoken to the GM and found him to be the problem. Until he is replaced, the hotel will continue to be one of the worst properties in the chain. The Herndon Marriott Suites and both nearby SHS are better options.
I figure the manager must have married a Marriott granddaughter and that the family wrote off this hotel, figuring they have to give the guy a job and this way he stays out of the corporate headquarters. Really, there can be no other excuse for this man running a hotel than family obligation.
