AC drinks are now free -- AA was forced to match UA/CO and DL/NW who were giving free drinks in their domestic lounges; so this is no longer an issue (and yes, in the past non-AA status holders got free drinks, it wasn't a QF specific benefit!).

Quite hilarious to read "better selection of newspapers" as a lounge benefit (I'll read the newspaper of my choice on my laptop, thank you). But I guess that sums up DFW well. On positive note, terminal D at DFW actually has some pretty good restaurants (much nicer than the lounges, except for lack of airplane view). In fact some would say better than most of the non-airport restaurants in DFW
