SDOO at Boston Terminal A 5 PM on Tuesday May 24. There were 3 choices for Security screening. Each area had x-ray belts for bags on the left and right, with passenger passing through a shared WTMD or NOS in the middle. After observing passengers pass through the NOS on the far right area, I went into the middle area, where the WTMD was open for pilots and crew. I was still well back in the line when the WTMD was roped off (making the NOS mandatory for passengers in those lanes), so then I went over to the far left. The NOS there was roped off, and all passengers (including myself) passed through the WTMD.
