It's great that you were not abused, but that's just what should be happening in every case.
When I go to the store and pay for a $10 purchase with a $20 bill, I am not grateful that they give me the proper amount of change. I may thank them for their overall service, but getting the proper change is both required and expected.
The TSA needs to return to the old frisk. Just pat, stay away from the groin and breasts. That is sufficiently effective.
