Its a bit painful just having Amex as its not as widely accepted as Visa..

That's why I've had Visa for many years.. but then there's some establishments that only take MC.. like Tim Hortons or No Frills in Calgary and area.

Best thing to do is, get the cards that make sense for the business use, or personal use that will garner the most points.. Can't max out everywhere, but certainly the point collections become more effective if you say have the Visa and Amex options.
