Segments. My otherwise unrecognized 35,100 status miles booked before the min-AC-operated miles/segments rule was announced and earned on SQ/CO/UA/LH metal as a status-free flyer have cornered me into buying an upcoming YVR-YQR in T+ and routing via YYC+YEG.
