If you fly CX metal, and knowing that you can make CX DM or GO, then I would suggest sticking with CX MPC. CX treats their GO very well (and treats their DM incredibly well.) As GO the op-up chance is very high and you're higher in the pecking order than other OW Emeralds (AA EXP.) Yes AA EXP can access the First Class Lounge, but I would gladly trade that for higher chance of op-up.
I am not likely to fly that much more than 120K a year, but yeah, if you are one of those that flies more than 120K, then probably building up your AA status is good. Their lifetime 1MM/2MM membership is awesome.
