You can PM me if you feel we're getting too OT

Orville has the stripe. I just had them out working last night (unfortunately), poor furkids are exhausted today.

My foster is Echo, recovering from a tumor on his head. I'll adopt him in August.

And I am now adding you as a friend
LOL, Cobaka definitely does the husky talk. She's very vocal at times. Right now, she's curled up on Mr. Kipper (after realizing that her "I want Sunday breakfast" stare wasn't working on me. But, when she decides it's time to play or she really wants something, she'll talk to us.

Geno, well, I'd been browsing Cobaka's old shelter's petfinder site, and he'd been there for about a year. They had him featured, and his adoption fee was sponsored. It took me almost two months to convince Mr. Kipper we should foster him. The shelter wanted him fostered, if not adopted, hoping that he'd come out of his shell and be easier to adopt.

We were all set to foster him after almost a week's trip to Florida, and when I called to make final arrangements, after we returned, I found out he'd been picked up by someone who was fostering him, but probably going to adopt him. They suggested other dogs, but Mr. Kipper and I couldn't agree on any of them. Two months later, Geno's foster mom said she couldn't foster him, and he came home with us.

She fed him tons of food and treats before giving him to me, and while I was driving him home (3 hours away), he got sick a few times in the Jeep, which only endeared him to me.

On Mother's Day weekend that year, Mr. Kipper's mother and aunt kept pressuring him to adopt Geno. He agreed, if I bought him a rare military rifle. I adopted Geno, and then eventually found him the rifle. I joke that Geno was the most expensive free dog I've adopted, since I had to buy the rifle. But, Geno was so worth it!

You had your two out working? Search and rescue?

You're adopting another one? How's Echo get along with Orville and Wilbur?
