I put "upgrade" in quotes because it seems a paid F passenger shouldn't have to be "upgraded" to a cabin they've paid to sit in. Even if there were a quadruple DM sitting in Y on the UG list, you should have priority as you paid for F.
If F was completely full on the re-booked flight, I would request compensation as the IRROPS wasn't WX related.
Well, if F was full, I wouldn't have had an issue sitting in Y, even though I paid for it. I didn't wanted to wait 4 hours until the next flight with available F seats.
The problem is not giving the seat that was available to me when I rebooked, and then not processing upgrades, instead giving to another FA....
