Well, yes, the official DL.COM screen doesn't show 720k SM for the redemption, does it?

And 370k for the lowest rate is such a bargain, we all know. Very comparable to what's available using UA/CO/AA/US etc.

And it's a one-off "glitch." Like an accident. DL.COM would never do that to anyone else, just the OP of the 720k thread.

Like SM management don't know about it.

And DL will always ticket at the LOW rate shown by DL.COM, whether that be 720k, 370k, or 40k for a domestic Y itin.

And DL would never "hide" availability by failing to present LOW awards that correspond to the indicated calendar availability, or introduce 23 hour hub layovers on redemptions at the notional LOW level.

And when you call SMS to book, they'd never say "MH/KE isn't an SM partner. No you can't use SM to book on that carrier."
Aha! Now, I see, I see. This DL you speak of really must be :-: best in class :-:
You may find that you face a very steep uphill battle on FT, and in the big wide world beyond, to convince a lot of people that DL SM awards are comparable to those offered by the UA/CO/AA/US/AS programs. mooper and those with ties to DL by employment or marriage - quite a few on the DL board - will claim otherwise. Let them benefit from the SM system.
My experience is that UA/CO's shortcomings with awards are an order of magnitude less problematic than DL's. Long may it remain so. It's a major driver of my UA business to 1K level and beyond and why I refuse to send a dime DL's way unless business policy absolutely mandates their use.
