I can't imagine evaluating a reception on whether I can get more than two beers, and frankly, I can't even remember most of the Managers' Receptions at most of the ES's I've been to. The only one that stands out at all is the South Lake Tahoe one (because Diamonds may go to the regular bar/restaurant and order -- it appears, although it's difficult to know since there is zero documentation of what Diamond status gets you by way of this "special" reception -- anything on the menu.)

I slightly remember the ES in ABQ as being nice.

All the rest I've stayed in leave no trace.

But for the most part, I try to avoid them because at the beginning they're packed with folks obsessively getting their free booze + thousands of children, and at the end the floors and tables usually look there was an explosion in a popcorn factory.
