Can you imagine the reaction of the PAX who bought up to P (say, by adding $79 to a high M fare) only to see someone on a much lower K fare snag an UG at the gate for the traditional $50 to $75 fee?

Or the first time someone on a P fare in an IROPs situation gets told that they only had an upgrade to FC and due to the IROP they are going to be sitting in coach?
