Yes, both are worth visiting on day trips, even as there is indeed much more in Malmo than in either Helsingborg or Helsingor.

Despite my jokes about Skane, Malmo is a center of Swedish culture in ways that are only exceeded by offerings in Stockholm, Gothenburg and perhaps the two university towns of Lund and Uppsala.
