What was more frustrating was that our contract and car were not ready as usual when we arrived, and it took forever for them to find the reservation. Then once found, the agent didn't have the credit card, driver's license info, etc. which I had to provide, even though I have an existing account with all of that information loaded and available, and we've never experienced this in the past (and last rental was only 3 months ago).

Avis has had a problem with losing embedded information in profiles recently. I do not know why. When I made a reservation on Sunday with the CC line, my phone number was not in my wizard/CC profile, and I have been a regular Avis renter with a wizard profile for about 20 years. Other times, my credit card information has been missing, either at time of reservation, or at time of pickup. Very odd.
