If you know Boston, then you know that this is simply the price of having a car. Not dissimilar from NYC or SFO. It's expensive and very unnecessary to have a car. Wait'll you drive your car over to the Long Wharf and park in the Aquarium Parking Lot for the wedding. 6 hours in that garage will likely run you $36+++. FAR FAR better to take public transportation here.

And, for heaven's sake, do NOT stay at any airport hotel if you want any flavor of this remarkable city at all. Boston is one of America's great walking cities -- full of history and rich experiences. Yes, the Sheraton BOS is huge, but it's incredibly well placed for business and touristy things. Suck it up, stay there and have a great time.
