Wow, this thread is making my head spin! I've seen a lot of the back and forth, and wanted to get the wisdom of the masses on car service vs. taxi tomorrow, arriving at 4pm to LGA (United), going to Andaz Wall Street. It seems about even on people saying it makes sense to book a car in advance or people saying just grab a cab from LGA-- does the 4pm on a Friday thing make any difference to that debate? Aiming to straddle the cheap/convenient line as I'm not rich and paying for this myself.

Wondering if it makes sense to plan on a taxi but if there are lines, have the numbers for places like Dial7 on my phone?
