Ever since ATM's came into existence that is where I get my money. Seems to be just about the best exchange rate as well. I also check on my Bank's website and can usually find 'compatible' banks overseas, i.e. banks which charge little or no extra fees for using their ATM.
I just checked my statement and the three Prague ATMs I used did not charge any fees. I haven't exchanged money anywhere since 2000 when I realized nobody even wants travelers checks.
