I would have stood my ground, let him "escort me out" with a picture of the lounge and then filed against him.

Small wonder our courts are jammed up with silly and inane lawsuits.
A more appropriate response would be to leave the lounge as requested and write a letter to the cruise line protesting the embarrassment of having been caught dressed inappropriately.
