AA will only allow you to use the FL if you are OW Emerald or traveling in AA int'l/transcon F. Note: even if you are in regular domestic F but without OW Sapphire or Emerald, you will not have access to any lounges, including the AA AC. AA domestic F does not grant you access to the AC.
That has not been my experience. A same day first class boarding pass from a oneworld carrier has gotten me into the FL lounge at JFK before and the rules seem to support that too.
