Exactly why I went with the 3GS. I saw a Youtube video of how long it took the 3G to start up from shutoff mode, versus how long it took the 3GS next to it. It was something like 40 seconds versus 17 seconds. I'm about to switch to Virgin Mobile from AT&T and save $80-85 per month with the almost-iPhone-like LG Optimus V. Maybe in a year or two I switch back, but gas prices are going to hurt me real soon.
