Well, for a 6:30 AM departure, you shouldn't have any trouble getting to the airport. The highway didn't start getting jammed up until about that time, but you'll be long through it by 6:30.

This is by far the cheapest Starwood alternative in the Venice area, so if you want to stay at a Starwood property and you just want close proximity to the airport, then this should work fine for that. (The hotels inside Venice will all cost you in the range of $400+ a night.) If you do it, just look at it as a Platinum qualifying night close to an airport and don't have any higher expectations.

At 5:00 in the morning, plan 30-40 minutes to the airport and you should be fine.
