There are thrills I enjoyed when I was younger. One was beating the parking or traffic tickets: waste a whole day going to the traffic court and sitting around, and feel clever because you "win" in the end. Another was buying cheap luggage and engaging in frustrating discussions with airlines about damages. Sometime they paid a little, sometimes not.
Eventually it dawned upon me that with that kind of winning, who needs defeats and losses?

Now I avoid getting traffic tickets in the first place. And I travel with
Red Oxx or
Briggs & Riley luggage. Great quality, truly meaningful lifetime warranty.
Avoid expensive brands whose warranty talks big but somehow manages to exclude the actual damage to your luggage.
