SFO did a receipt flash, but didn't actually check anything. Just a hand gesture making like he was turning up a piece of paper, a quick flash and move on. My girlfriend got an X because of the continual kinks in the Canadian NEXUS to GE transition and he just directed her to his line (the crew line).

Oddly enough after you went through the GE kiosk, they made you wait in the crew/disabled line for the CBP agent to check your sticker and passport. Is this common? Normally I go through DFW and have always just flashed the receipt to an agent standing next to the kiosks.
That is not normal at all and I would file a complaint.

I don't know if there's a way to access the kiosks at LAX without standing in the crew line. The only other place I've used GE has been at ORD, and those kiosks are in the middle section. You can simply walk into the baggage claim area after you get your receipt.
The LAX kiosks in T6/7 are located to the side of the crew line. There is a sign pointing it out and you just walk over. Same as IAD and SFO.
