I am a NEXUS card holder. I received a postcard from CBP a few weeks ago inviting me to visit my on-line GOES profile in order to take advantage of Global Entry. When I did so, the website essentially said you are now eligible with no further action necessary.
I tried it out about 10 days ago in MIA when on my way from BZE home to YOW. Used the GE kiosk with no problems. Despite all the discussion about needing a sticker (just in case), this was never mentioned in any of my interactions with CBP (postcard, website, immigration hall exit).
Good move CBP to add Canucks to Global Entry via NEXUS! ^

When I left YOW at the beginning of February, I checked in with NEXUS office and CBP officer there told me they had no information re GE.
But I used GE in LAX last week and it worked like a charm. Thank God too or I would have missed my connection.
