He asked me to apply for redress as well
I will wait until i become a Canadian citizen. I was just checking if someone has gone through similar experience

You're welcome and yes, In the past 10 months CBP has started removing parts of Bush era NSEERS, courtesy of President Obama, namely the exit control but they're not ready just about yet to hand out NEXUS to prior NSEERS registrants (or those who would qualify for it) however, I've heard from a CBP supervisor friend that they're fully aware of it and the powers to be will address it at some point.
As far as redress, it won't apply to your situation as they've already waived the exit control for you so I wouldn't bother with it.
