Thanks for your prompt reply. I agree with your assessment. I have been traveling to USA since 2001 and recently they waived my security checks when i reapplied for B1/B2 visa. The last time i traveled to USA, CBP office put a stamp on my passport and wrote "NEX" on it and said i do not need to go through the exit procedure and notify anybody when leaving USA. He asked me to apply for redress as well
I will wait until i become a Canadian citizen. I was just checking if someone has gone through similar experience

Unfortunately even after you're sworn in as a Canadian national and obtain your Canadian passport, they will most probably deny your application, unless there is a shift in the policies.
My advice, don't waste your $50 now. Wait till you're a Canadian citizen, then try and see what happens, but be prepared for denial.
