The UKBA site hints that both the registration rooms and passport control channels are in a bit of a state of flux at all airports, but the
registering for IRIS page looks reasonably up-to-date, and claims that the T5 enrolment room is still there, and the
using IRIS to enter the UK page doesn't say anything about T5 being closed. (That said, it says that Gatwick South is closed until further notice, and I'm pretty sure I saw people using it last week).
Bit of a mystery, then.
