I would suggest u try to do what khalid26 says .. EK should be allowing u to reroute by removing the Dxb-Hkg-Dxb leg.. if they don't and u miss ur Dxb - Hkg connection, then u may be in a fix if u miss the flight..

Be careful when you're doing this. If the idea is to skip the DXB-HKG-DXB, beware that EK will still know you're not on the flight. If you check in they'll charge you after departure ticket change/ no show fee if they even let you use the DXB-GRU return.
+1, so better check with EK beforehand on this..
no one wants to pay a change fee or any kind of fee on this free ticket
