From what I read, the OP did try to prepare for his needs ahead of time by communicating with the property and they failed to deliver upon arrival. I have seen rooms magically appear when I play the status card or talk with FDM or GM, especially with an early arrival. Regardless of status, they should live up to their promisses.

Personally, I think this "event" is over and it's time to move on. If the OP has had other dealings with the event coordinator, they should know if it is not how the OP works. If it has been the standard, then he may not be asked back, and that's fine. A single event does not make a trend, but sure can start one.
