You'll have to stay within the restrictions of airline that you are flying to and from BKK to HKT or face the harsh fines for exceeding your baggage limitations.

Since it’s not going to be a EK aircraft from BKK-HKT I would suggest to pack 20KG for the EK sectors as well (CDG-DXB-BKK) then you'll have no problems on the BKK-HKT-BKK sector.
