This topic requires periodic updating as circumstances at the checkpoint evolve and I'm glad to have the opportunity to reboot the discussion. When I have a moment I'll try to post the link to an excellent thread from about four or five months ago on the precautions some of us take toward our securing our valuables (and ourselves!) during the screening process.
