Regardless, you will get better answers if your RBP your thread and ask that it be moved to the Thailand forum. This has nothing to do with LY in actuality. What you need to know really is whether you can check your bag at the transit desk in BKK. I don't know the answer.
If you do need to go outside to check your bag you at least won't have to go through immigration in the domestic end of the terminal and I haven't see the security line over there very long.
With whom are you flying to USM? Why not just check the bag all the way through? You don't need to be on the same ticket to interline.
Thanks for your answer..
1. i don't understand why you say i need to go thru immigration ?
i want to do a transit in BKK.
i did that 4 years+ ago when the new BKK airport was opened. no immigration in BKK, just at final destination in Chiang Mai.
2. i want to continue to Samui with Thai. i don't want to check the bags all the way thru because of the short connection (1:10 hours). i dont want to take the chance of not getting my bags only the day after ( i can manage with 2 carry on bags).
3. the question about check a bag at the transit desk was just for comfort reasons...
so basically the question is:
Arriving LY81 14:50 .
want to continue with Thai to Samui 16:00
i know that this is tight, but if i print the boarding pass for thai at home (web check-in) and only need to walk from Elal gate to the domestic transfer and then to the Thai gate, i think 1:10 is enough (if Elal isn't late of course).
an i missing something ? has things changed, and i need to que for immigration at the transit area ? or just have a QID sticker and do immigration at Samui ?
thanks.
