I was at Le Meridien Surawongse 2 nights ago and got one of the suites with the round bed!

Do not forget to go to the very interesting old town in Phuket, not very far from the Westin, if you did not go already.

Completely agree with you on the "villa" that is not even a suite, with separate rooms, at the W Koh Samui (I believe that I reported something similar, following my stay at the hotel).
