I can't imagine that more people than not prefer to spend the night without a toothbrush or clean underwear and, given that the bags all eventually appeared on the carosel I imagine such was the case.
I *always* carry a change of clothes and my toiletries in my carry on. Surprised that as a PM with the amount of flying you do that you didn't think of that. I also always carry an empty water bottle (to fill up behind security) and a snack with me on *every* flight, even if I am upgraded and expect to have a water bottle. I don't assume anything (remember what assume means....).

Actually I prefer to NOT see my luggage in the case of irops. Why drag my luggage from airport to hotel shuttle van, into the hotel, up the elevator, into the room, back out of the room, down the elevator, out to the hotel shuttle van, back to the airport, to the check in counter, etc. Just my carry on, change of clothes, toothbrush, etc. Upon returning to the airport the next day I just use the kiosk to print a boarding pass and off I go.

I think if that is the only thing you learned from this experience it might have been worth the hassles.

Thanks for making posting on this forum such an unpleasant experience, by assuming that it was my fault for, basically, refusing to be a sheep and bow down to the demands of people employed to service my needs. If you believe I have a sense of entitlement that customer service personell actually service customers, and that such is a bad thing, well then I do.

For the few that were supportive and/or offered helpful suggestions: thanks, it was appreciated.
Sorry that you feel posting was an unpleasant experience. Sometimes the truth hurts, sometimes it is easier for people to be harsh on an anonymous forum, sometimes a combination of those two and others.
