Bungus we had an entirely different experience. We were picked up in the hotel Landrover, check in was swift and efficient, and Gino the hotel manager came to introduce himself. Was awestruck by the beauty of the view of the ocean from the Lobby.

We were taken in a Golf Cart and given a tour of the resort which and then taken to our Ocean View Escape. The room is large and well appointed, very, very modern and cool. The private pool was much larger than expected and the indoor/outdoor shower was great. Perhaps the only downside to the room was that it is really a studio. The TV and couch are in the bedroom so if one of you wants to sleep, and your partner does not, you have no options, unless your partner watches the tiny TV in the bathroom. As someone who always books suites for leisure I found this an issue.

As others have mentioned that internet kept dropping out.

While we were at the property it rained, and rained, and rained. Lesson is that the hotel is amazing... when the weather is good. The rain makes the steep climbs around the resort, and there are many, seriously dangerous. In fact, I had slipped a disc a few years ago and I fell, caught myself, and slipped the disc again. My partner fell over so we ended up calling the for gold carts every time we wanted to go somewhere.

The rain also makes all of the outdoor areas from the lobby to the bar to the outdoor area of the Kitchen Table slippery that the staff are constantly mopping up, and there are unsightly wet towels for you to wipe your feet.

By the end of the second day we decided to cut our 6 night stay short and head to Bangkok. We enjoyed Mohito Madness at WooBar, the personal attention we received from Gino, and the food was impeccable. We were comped dinner at Nemu, Mojito Madness and given a gift because the rain had ruined our anniversary plans. So the hotel went above and beyond.
