The reason why I hate going through a host is when I go with my GF, I don't really gamble as much as if I go by myself or with my friends. I don't want my host to give me a stink eye just because every other 3 trips I go, I don't play. With TR, I book rooms online if I was to go with my GF and rooms with my host when I plan to play big.

I asked my slot hostess at Caesars Palace whether it made a difference if I booked through her or on-line, she indicated it didn't make a difference.
In the MGM system (apparently) it does, my slot hostess at Mandalay Bay said she gets "credits" when she does the booking, ditto for Monte Carlo.
