Very, very few of them do. The classic
white-and-mint-green machines won't take non-chip cards, but I do often use a Navigo-looking white-and-purple machine (can't find a picture but it looks like a hybrid machine taking the color and touch screen of the
Navigo machines, and adding other payment methods like the traditional machines) at the Gare Montparnasse entrance to the Montparnasse-Bienvenüe station and it will accept my chip-less card. Otherwise, you'll have to stand in line to buy at the counter.
