I hope I will already checked in, but in my experience (flying CHC-AKL-SCL-LIM) usually I cannot check in for the entire itinerary in CHC but I can check in for the remainder since AKL. This time I am flying CHC-AKL-SYD-EZE-SCL-LIM (believe it or not, this is not a mileage run but simply the cheapest fare I could find at the time of booking), so I am not sure if they will check me in all the way to LIM or not. If not, it sounds like the lack of transit counters could be a problem - do you have any idea about my options for getting a boarding pass if I'm not checked in already? The AA lounge? The gate? Or would I have to go through immigration and check-in landside (exposing me to the departure fee )?

Aside from CHC-AKL, the flights are all Lan (and its non-Chilean offshoots) tickets, though the SYD-EZE is on QF metal.

Any further info appreciated.
