Flying from BOS - LHR on the United new schedule ( 5000 bonus miles ) in April the flight to LHR was overbooked and United said no upgrades were available. They offered $400 flight credits, hotel, food etc and a confirmed business class seat the next day. Sometimes it pays to leave a buffer day in between appts. As an added bonus UA still gave me the miles for my original flight!!!
