Word is that as of this past Monday, Continental stopped doing regular status matches and is instead only do challenges similar to United, where you would need to fly 10k for Silver, 17.5k for Gold and 35k for Platinum in the next 90 days to actually receive the status. From what I understand, people have contacted the OPSC and confirmed this.
I guess I have lucked out, because I just received my Gold status match (sent in a picture of my AA Platinum card via email) today. 3 days after the email (sent on the 15th)...
Received no email respond from Continental, but my status show as Gold for Elite OnePass Level
